Bunkers del Carmel

This past Thursday, we ventured out to go watch the sunset at some old bunkers in Barcelona after work. It was recommended to us as the most beautiful 360 view of the city, and it did not disappoint! As the sun began to set, more and more people kept arriving. It was quite the tourist attraction, but still well worth the trip.

This is a portion of the 360 view these bunkers had. It was pretty difficult to get a panorama of this area because of all of the people walking around.

Apparently these bunkers were constructed in 1938 during the Spanish Civil war as a means to survey the city and protect Barcelona from incoming bombs. After that, it was left to crumble until it became a large tourist attraction. They then renovated the Bunkers in 2000, leaving the beautiful historical sight to attract more visitors!

I can't believe our time is winding down to only two weeks left, but stay tuned on the rest of our adventures. Oh, and research too! Brooke is almost ready to send her paper out to a journal! I however, am just finishing up my initial draft to then be edited and re-edited and edited again before I even think of submitting! Jacob is more motivated than ever, putting together a paper to hopefully be published in the future.

And here is a photo of the sunset.
