The whole group had a really great experience listening to Ian Gough present on his new book. Dr. Gough is a social policy professor and his new book focuses on the path to achieving sustainability for the human race. His idea of redistribution, or taking emissions from one activity and putting them towards a different activity that benefited a larger amount of people, was very interesting. Dr. Gough's example in the presentation was if the 30 million SUV owners in the United States switched to a more efficient vehicle then the whole world would be able to have electricity for the same amount of emissions.
