This past week, we all went to Portbou, Spain and took a nice break to clear our heads. We climbed mountains, went snorkelling, and ate so much paella. On a couple of the trails we hiked, we even snuck into France a bit. However, it is great to be back at ICTA to get more work done. The people here are extremely helpful and the atmosphere is very focussed yet relaxed.
I'm moving pretty quickly on my work and hope to have a rough draft of my final report done within the coming weeks. Right now, I am observing how many changes there are in the analysis when you modify the percentage of urban agriculture production in regions of the United States. This is the "Scenario 2" that I am modelling, where "Scenario 1" is the current virtual water trade within the United States. Adéu!
Fun Fact of the Day: Gazpacho is pretty common here as a cold food in the hot summer.
The bay of Portbou is to the left. We went snorkelling in these reefs, experiencing the underwater world firsthand.
In the photo on the right, we had just reached the top of a mountain and stopped to soak in the moment (and get a photo).
