Group members in Toledo met with faculty from the Study Abroad office for a pre-departure orientation. Inma, a student athlete at UT who is from Cataluña, talked to the group about the similarities and differences between customs in the United States and different parts of Spain. She gave a brief lesson on common words and phrases in Catalán and Spanish. Additionally, the group at Toledo has been connected with the South American and Hispanic Students Association (SAHSA) on campus with plans to develop cultural awareness and basic speaking skills. Toledo students also worked on replicating data using "Energy-water nexus of wind power generation systems" by Jin Yang and Bin Chen, and have concluded their results as shown in the below photo.
