Yesterday we had the UAB-ICTA summer party! It started at 12:30pm where we learned about do the Lindy Hop. Ironically, it is an American dance which was born in Harlem, New York City in 1928 and has evolved since then with the jazz music of that time. It was very popular during the Swing era of the late 1930s and early 1940s.
At 2pm the feast commenced! Everyone brought a dish to share, what we would call at pot luck back home. In Spain they just call it a party! There were so many dishes: fruits, salads, pastas, breads, desserts, juice, wine, and so much more! We ate until we were about to burst! Luckily they made coffee afterwards or I do not think anyone would have been able to get work done afterwards without a siesta!
Overall the party was great! The since of community was really amazing in the small lunch room that could barely hold everyone. I cannot think of a better way to end Dani's time with us in Barcelona! We will definitely miss her but will surely stay in touch! Safe travels Dani!
And now it is just the three amigos from Toledo left.
