As Elly mentioned, this weekend we got to relax and enjoy ourselves at the Beach! Yes, it was very busy, but it was all worth it. Our lovely mascot got to enjoy the beach with us as well. After the Beach, we explored not only Barcelona but also some of us decided to look around San Cugat -- one of the most popular stops on the train.
Yesterday, we went back out to Barcelona to explore the city more, and also do some "light" shopping. On our way out of the train station, we were able to see the famous Sagrada Familia which we will go visit soon. For lunch, we went to the Burrito Bar, which is basically like a chipotle back home, but had the best guacamole I have ever tasted. I also used some of my Spanish skills to order and get a to-go lid & bag, which gave me somewhat of a confidence boost.
I know you didn't ask, but here is a small weekend food tour. Hope it doesn't make you too hungry ;)
Week 1 is finally in the books, and as the staff told us, it is going by quicker than I thought. However, I am excited to see what week 2 has in store for us!
Also, someone please teach me how to pose for pictures because this is the best I can do right now (if anyone knows about the El Gato meme, it is literally that):
Also, here are some other pictures for the blog, just because I like them:
Someone get me some cake now...
The food looks delicious! Hope Rocky didn't get sunburned.
